Blackball International World Championship Australia 2020

Dear Members,

It is with deepest regret that Blackball International has to announce that due to the Covid - 19 pandemic the 2020 World Championships which was due to be held in Geelong, Australia during the week 20th -27th November has had to be cancelled.

Blackball International has considered the current situations around the world and the long term effects of the pandemic. The situation will take a great deal of time for many countries to recover and for International travel to once again be safe to fly around
the world.

Due to events already in place for 2021, Blackball International has decided that the World Championships will next be held in 2022 in a country yet to be decided.

Blackball International would like to take this opportunity to thank the City of Greater Geelong Council, Geelong Tourism for their support, Geelong Arena and all the sponsors that had agreed to support the 2020 World Championships in Australia.

Steps are now being taken to arrange the Blackball International General Assembly via video conference and more details on this will follow in due course.

On behalf of Blackball International we would like to wish everyone the best of health. We hope to see you all playing again very soon but until then stay safe.

Yours in sport,

Mark Cottingham
